The road will provide a linkage between agricultural production areas of Barangays Cabadiangan and Matampay. to the market.<\/p>\n<p>While the mandate of the government is to provide basic services to the people, DAR as the lead distributor of land to the farmers aims to develop these agricultural lands to alleviate the lives of these farmers. The road from Barangay Cabadiangan and Barangay Matampay will transport its farm products to out to the Municipality of Kadingiland and elsewhere in the Province of Bukidnon and neigboring provinces.<\/p>\n<p>As result, the subsequent importance of building these infrastructure development programs is the accessibility of farmers\/beneficiaries to all government programs on health and nutrition, education, agricultural extensions, technology, access to political aspirations and religious obligations, and other government services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brief Description of Subproject:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The proposed FMR is an existing road for total rehabilitation from Cabadiangan-Kibalagon Junction to Barangay Poblacion of Matampay. The road section from Purok 4 to Purok 8 is an undulating to steep topography where road opening\/construction is necessary to a maximum design longitudinal gradient of 16%. As such, intermittent PCCP (slope &gt;10%) has a total length of 2,207.00 meters and the remaining 3,703.00 meters is a gravel-type of road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Demand-Supply Gap:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The demand of road in the Kadingilan Settlement Area is very high where the supply of roads is lower than what is required using the road length ratio against land area and population which covers 9,499 hectares comprises of seven (7) barangays namely: Cabadiangan, Kibalagon, Mabuhay, Balaoro, Pinamangguan, Bagongbayan, and Matampay with 14,174 population and 3,133 households based on the CLUP of Kadingilan Municipality. Barangay Cabadiangan has the largest crop area for corn at<br \/>\n1,500 has. Other major crops are oil palm, sugar cane, rubber, and rice. The settlement possesses significant natural endowments such as fertile soil, water resources, suitable climate, and others. It however, remains an impoverished area due to various constraints. Its potentials for development have not been realized and as a result, the population is largely in state of poverty. The settlement is also close to major markets such as Kadingilan town center, Municipalities of Don Carlos and Maramag.<\/p>\n<p>Given the Agriculture, Agribusiness and Agro-Forestry (AAAD) development potential, the demand of FMR is even elevated in the settlement. The difficulty for transport of farm implements and products is a burden to farmers considering high losses such as spoilage of crops, expensive fare, untimely delivery of sensitive crops. (Source: SDP)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Financial Aspect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Estimated Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) = Php 67,204,418.09<br \/>\nFund source from Loan Proceeds (LP) = Php 67,204,259.60<br \/>\nFund source from Government of the Philippines (GOP) = Php 5,753,740.40<\/p>\n<p><strong>Economic Aspect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Farm-to-Market Road development will help boost the local economy in the settlement area because of the road connectivity to the market and vice versa. The parameters considered in the calculation of its economic aspect are the production area benefitted by the long stretch of the road and about 3.0 kilometers extending sideways farm production area.
