Bagumbayan

Description

Bagumbayan is a 1st-class inland municipality in Sultan Kudarat, located in the SOCCSKSARGEN (Region XII) of Mindanao, Philippines. Established on November 22, 1973, it was transferred from Cotabato Province to Sultan Kudarat through Presidential Decree No. 341 by President Ferdinand E. Marcos .

Geography & Demographics
Area: Approximately 672.06 km², accounting for about 12.68% of Sultan Kudarat’s total area.

Population: As of the 2020 census, Bagumbayan has a population of 68,947 .

Barangays: The municipality is subdivided into 19 barangays, including Poblacion, Bai Saripinang, Biwang, Busok, Chua, Daguma, Daluga, Kabulanan, Kanulay, Kapaya, Kinayao, Masiag, Monteverde, Santo Niño, Sison, South Sepaka, Sumilil, Titulok, and Tuka .
