Maragusan, formerly known as San Mariano, is a 1st class landlocked municipality in Davao de Oro (formerly Compostela Valley), Philippines. Nestled in the cool highlands of Mindanao, it’s famously called the “Summer Capital of Davao de Oro” due to its refreshing mountain climate.

Geography & Demographics
Area: Covers about 394 km², featuring rolling hills, dense forests, and elevated terrain ranging from 615 m to 1,544 m elevation.
Population: Around 64,412 residents (2020 census), with a density of ~163 inhabitants/km².
