Description

Tangcal is a 5th-class municipality in Lanao del Norte, Northern Mindanao, Philippines. As of the 2020 census, it has a population of approximately 16,075 people and covers an area of 178.62 km². The municipality is composed of 18 barangays, including Tangcal Proper, Poblacion, and Big Banisilon .

Characterized by its mountainous terrain, with elevations ranging from 291 m to 1,157 m above sea level. The municipality’s economy is primarily agricultural, with residents engaged in farming activities. Key agricultural products include corn, coconut, livestock, falcata, and banana .
